The ‘big’ camera, as my husband and I call it, is always nearby. It’s usually perched next to the mantle, ready for me to grab when one of our three kids is doing something cute (or something adorably mischievous.)
After our first son was born, we wanted to document EVERYTHING: his finger wrinkles as a newborn, his face covered in yogurt as a baby, and the way his hair fell into soft curls as he entered toddlerhood. We also wanted to to be able to revisit his fingerprint smudges on our windowpanes and the dramatic faces he made during those first tantrums. Later, with the arrivals of our daughter and second son, we were now painfully aware of how quickly the baby, toddler, and little kid stages pass. We wanted to be able to revisit all the details of their childhoods, so the ‘big’ camera has nestled into a permanent spot in our family room, ready to help me preserve moments great and small.
Three years ago this month I filed paperwork to form an LLC so that I could preserve these moments for you family, too. Thank you to the families who have entrusted me with documenting the relationships they have with their children, and I look forward to meeting new families this fall.
Happy birthday to Lauren Frances Photography!
