Each time I photograph a family at the American Tobacco Campus, I am reminded of why it’s on my preferred location list. Nestled in downtown Durham next to the Bulls Athletic Park, this historic district offers ample parking, nearby dining options, and no shortage of scenic spots. It’s also worth highlighting that the asphalt ground means rain will not render this location a muddy mess, a win-win for your little one’s clothes and for me in post-processing!
The industrial charm of the ATC showed off during a recent extended family session. From landscaped courtyards to scenic pathways to weathered brick buildings – this location boasted a variety of aesthetically pleasing and interesting backdrops for the three generations that gathered for their family portraits.
