One of my favorite parts of living in the Triangle of North Carolina is the Greenway system. Each time I head outside for a walk or run, I can’t help but scout potential locations for family sessions. Some greenways are lined with trees, some are more open and airy, and others are lined with rustic split log fences. It’s so satisfying to see a location go from being just a possibility to an actual scenic backdrop for portraits.
There’s one west Cary greenway in particular that has been one of my go-to spots over the years. Between the varying heights of the trees and shrubs, winding pathways with low foot traffic, and soft light, it’s earned a spot in my top three!
